Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) invited application from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PWD (HH) candidates only, to fill up various category wise vacancies. The candidates eligible for the posts can apply online on or before 16 November 2013. GAIL (India) Limited was incorporated in August 1984 as a Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. It is India's principal Gas transmission and marketing company. It has following business segments: Natural Gas, Liquid Hydrocarbon, LPG Transmission, Petrochemical, City Gas Distribution, Exploration and Production, GAILTEL and Electricity Generation. GAIL has been conferred with the Maharatna status on 1 Feb 2013, by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification:
- Officer (Library): Master Degree in Library Science with minimum 55% marks for PWD (HH) candidates.
- Officer (Official Language): Master Degree in Hindi Literature with minimum 55% marks for PWD (HH) candidates and English should be as one of the subjects in graduation.
- Officer (Laboratory): M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 60 % marks for OBC (NCL) candidates.
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical or Production or Production & Industrial or Manufacturing or Mechanical & Automobile with minimum 55% marks for SC/ST and SC/ST-PWD candidates.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Engineering in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics with minimum 55% marks for ST candidates and ST-PWD candidates.
- Junior Engineer (Chemical): Diploma in Engineering in Chemical or Petrochemical or Chemical Technology or Petrochemical Technology with minimum 55% marks for SC/ST candidates and SC/ST-PWD candidates.
Application Fees:
- Candidates belonging to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) category and applying for post in E-1 grade are required to pay application fees of Rs. 200/- by Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn in favour of GAIL (India) Limited payable at New Delhi.
- SC/ST/ PWD/SC-PWD/ST-PWD & OBC (NCL) - PWD candidates are exempted from payment of application fees
Pay Scale:
- Rs.20600 -46500/- for all Officer Posts.
- Rs.16300 -38500/- for all Junior Engineer Posts.
