Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRAS) Chennai invites applications for the following posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment Basis. Eligible persons apply on the prescribed format on or before 26th May 2014.

CCRS is the Apex body in India for formulation, co-ordination, development and promotion of research in Siddha. The Council carries out its activities and function through its network of 5 Institutes/Units located in Chennai, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Palayamkottai and Metturdam.

Research Officer (Siddha): 20
Research Officer (Siddha Pharmacy): 1
Research Officer (Pharmacognosy):1
Lab Attendant: 24

Eligibility :
Research Officer (Siddha) : Candidates should have Postgraduate Degree in Siddha system of medicine from a CCIM recognized Institution.

Research Officer (Siddha Pharmacy): Candidates should have Postgraduate Degree in Siddha in Gunapadam from a CCIM recognized Institution. Enrolment in the Central/ State Register of Indian Medicine/ Siddha as the case may be.

Research Officer (Pharmacognosy) : Candidates should be M.Sc. in Botany/ Medicinal Plants or M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from a recognized university. Desirable - Ph.D in relevant subject.
Lab Attendant -> Candidate should have cleared HSC or equivalent with Science subjects from recognized Board/University. A Certificate course from recognized University/Institutes in Computer Application is desirable.
Age limit for all the three above mentioned research posts is 40 and for lab attendant is 25

Selection procedure :

• Applicants will be selected on the basis of written test and Interview performance. The date, time and venue of the written test, interview will be communicated to the candidates, for which candidates are requested to enclose oneself-addressed envelope (11x5cm) affixing postal stamps worth Rs.25/- along with the duly filled in prescribed Application Form in a separate cover.

• How to apply :
• The application forms have to be downloaded from the website.
• Candidates desiring to receive the application form by post are requested to send their requisition along with sufficiently stamped self-addressed
• envelope.
• The application along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, age, community certificate should be enclosed along with the application
• Attach two recent passport size photographs and a demand draft of Rs.100/- for OBC/General candidates and Rs.20/- for SC/ST candidates, which has to be drawn in favour of Central Council for Research In Siddha, payable at Chennai should as the application fee.
• The candidates should mention "Application for the post of ____________" in bold letters on the right side top of the envelope.
• Separate application shall be submitted for each post.
• Persons already in service must submit their application through proper channel.
